Stompin’ at the Savoy, music by Edgar Sampson and arranged for Clarinet Quartet by Kenneth Abeling. This jazz standard is also frequently and improperly credited to Benny Goodman, Chuck Webb and Andy Razaf as well. This is an easier advanced arrangement of Sampson’s song named for the Savoy Ballroom in Harlem and recorded by hundreds of instrumental groups and vocalists.

March Grandioso, by Ronald Forrest Seitz transcribed for Clarinet Quartet. This is an early advanced level arrangement of one of the most popular marches of all time.

It's Been a Long, Long Time Music by Jule Styne and Lyrics by Sammy Cahn arranged for Clarinet Quartet by Kenneth Abeling. This is an intermediate level arrangement of the chart-topping Big Band hit from 1945.

This is an intermediate to advanced intermediate level transcription of one of Boccherini’s most popular works.

This charming Jazz, Pop song duet has been covered by numerous vocalists perhaps most notably Patience and Prudence and The Lennon Sisters. It has also been used in a variety of movies and featured most humorously as a duet sang by Steve Martin and Bernadette Petters in the movie The Jerk. 

Army of the Nile by Kenneth Alford, transcription for Brass Quintet, Clarinet Quartet, Saxophone Quartet, Saxophone Quintet, String Quartet, Woodwind Quartet, and Woodwind Quintet by Kenneth Abeling, is a British Style March. This is one of Alford’s most popular marches and is of an advanced intermediate to easier advanced level of difficulty.

Cole Porter’s romantic, I’ve Got You Under My Skin for Brass Quintet, Clarinet Quartet, Saxophone Quartet, Saxophone Quintet, String Quartet, Woodwind Quartet, and Woodwind Quintet arranged by Kenneth Abeling.  This arrangement is in a “Latin feel” and a good device for learning 2 against 3 & 3 against 4. Intermediate and professional players will both find this chart enjoyable and useful.

Broadway Medley by George M. Cohan and arranged for Brass Quintet, Clarinet Quartet, Saxophone Quartet, Saxophone Quintet, String Quartet, Woodwind Quartet, and Woodwind Quintet by Kenneth Abeling. This is an intermediate level arrangement of three Broadway favorites to include; Forty-Five Minutes form Broadway, Harrigan and Give my regards to Broadway.

Lassus Trombone written by Henry Fillmore transcribed here for Brass Quintet, Clarinet Quartet, Saxophone Quartet, Saxophone Quintet, String Quartet, Woodwind Quartet, and Woodwind Quintet, by Kenneth Abeling.  This is an advanced Intermediate to easier advanced arrangement of one Henry Fillmore’s numerous trombone features making use of numerous glissandos.  This piece makes a great humorous novelty piece or encore for most any concert performance.

II. Rhosymedre from “Three Preludes Founded on Hymn Tunes” by Ralph Vaughan Williams for Clarinet Quartet, Saxophone Quartet, Saxophone Quintet, String Quartet, Woodwind Quartet, and Woodwind Quintet. “Rhosymedre” (Lovely), by Welsh Anglican priest John David Edwards, is a hymn tune named after the village of Rhosymedre in the County Borough of Wrexham, Wales. This is an intermediate level arrangement suitable for a variety of occasions to include; Weddings, Worship Services, Funerals and General Performance. 

Mac & Johnson’s “Charleston” or “The Charleston” as it is most frequently referred for Brass Quintet, Clarinet Quartet, Saxophone Quartet, Saxophone Quintet, String Quartet, Woodwind Quartet, and Woodwind Quintet by Kenneth Abeling, is a bit of a workout. The chart is in typical Dixieland fashion with both written solos and chord changes for improvised solos are provided throughout. The rarely used introduction begins the piece as it works its way into frenzy at the end!  Suitable for numerous performance occasions your audiences will love this staple of the American Jazz/Dixieland library.

This is a collection of Six Pavanes by Luis de Milán originally written for the vihuela and transcribed here for Clarinet Quartet by Kenneth Abeling. These pavanes from the Renaissance period are suitable for general performance, and sacred events. They are for the most part moderately easy with a few moderately difficult passages. Additionally, they make an excellent introduction to the Renaissance period in music and the use of different meters.
